Resurrection theme allowing
For a human form after death
Which spiritualists use as their
Stock in trade playing on the
Gullibility of the bereaved
Wanting their dead one
To still have a human
Form and even look
Good all based on
A dead Jesus
Appearing
To his old
Friends
Body intact.
But this mania
Of Trinitarians for
The body preserved
Has covered up the idea
That the soul continues after
Death as part of a sentience
Greater than the individual
A shared awareness that
From time to time can
Touch the living as
Coincidence but
More often for
Good than
Any evil.
Strange
We cling
To the illusion
Of human form after
Death but our zombie culture
Accommodates the vanity
Contrary to dust to dust
Clinging to bodies
When we should
Think more of
The soul we
Are unable
To accept
Transcending
Human form to soul
Without body or form.
Spiritual sentience
Does not require
Makeup on a
Corpse or an
Attempt to
Preserve
A body
In a
Box.
