Alzheimer’s

If we slide from
Dementia into
Alzheimer’s we are
Like a frog in pot
Of water slowly
Brought to a boil
Unaware until too
Late to escape
And then cooped
Up condemned to
Suffer indignities in
Confinement lost to
Die memory bereft.
