The shadows darken
Around me as I read
My book sitting on a
Bench in the garden
In 1973 London on a
Summer evening out
Side our little room
Here beneath trees
An oasis of green I
Watch the dark eat
Details yet I see you
In our lighted room
Writing at the table.
