War

Thank God
There is no war
At the moment but
War will come again
To avoid domestic strife
Or from pressure we put on
Some society who surprises
Us with their violent reaction
Or perhaps by nonviolent
Conflict chem or bio or
Perhaps by playing
On our own self
Inflicted hurt a
Wound we
Cannot
Leave
Alone
Each side
Dividing us
Further ignoring
Jesting about scars
As though we never felt
A wound egged on by media
While our spiritual moral
Ethical arrows remain
Silent behind pulpits
Of all religions on
Lapses that call
For comment
On what is
Right and
Wrong.
