Is where the money is, just like
Today when the top 20 per
Cent own 80 per cent of
The wealth but pay
Less than 20 per
Cent of income
Taxes due to
The belief
By many
Hard
Working
Americans
That taxing the
Rich is socialism a
Bad word to those who
Would most benefit from
The rich paying their fair share.
But, what do I know anyway.
Maybe be better for me to
Be less condescending
And listen to all the
Pro-Trump folks
Who tell me he
Will make a
Great USA
Again so
Maybe
Better
If I shut
Up and not
Talk above my
Paltry pay grade.
Maybe if God did not
Want the middle classes
Sheared he would not have
Made so very many of them sheep.
Maybe the ideal of the American
Revolution was not equality
Between citizens but an
Acceptance that the
Constitution is to
Defend not our
Civil rights
But
Property.
Just sayin’.
