Slaves seized
In war or raids allow
The rich to get richer in
History whether the slaves
Are Gauls, Britons or Africans
Semitic Carthaginians or blacks
Though the word comes from Vikings raiding Slavic tribes
It all comes down to slaves
To make a few rich at the
Cost of a life of misery
And crushing labor
For the slaves so
Field or factory
Vent your fad
Or vendetta
On the few
Rich who
Profit by
Slaves
Such
As
Paying
The poor
Salaries below
The living standard
Needed but who in poverty
Support those who enslave them.
Most rich people have nothing
To do with slave wages today
But the very wealthy often
Do benefit from a tax
System wherein
They pay few
To no taxes
While the
Poor and
Middle
Class
Pay.
So, raise
The minimum
Wage for adults
To above the poverty
Level or face a slave revolt.
Only the middle class can
Do this as the poor are
Too weak the rich
Are too greedy.
Who says
It is thus,
History.
Police brutality
Is only a symptom,
The sickness is greed.
