In a cinema with
My wife and three
Kids plus my son’s
Friends about to vidi
The grand opening of
Alien a Syfy horror film
And as the movie begins
The music and turning letters
Have tensions so high my son’s
Friend at 17 gets up and tells
Us all, “I don’t need this” a
Bit of wisdom rare in teen
Boys at horror movies
So he leaves and he
Misses not much
But we who stay
Have shared a
Scary thing
Safe as we
Have no
Idea
What the
Next 50 years
Will bring to us all
