I learned how
To heal early on
By listening to your
Nurse since their job
Is healing whereas the
Job of doctors is numbers.
I have healed from bad wounds
Amazed at how the body repairs
Itself if you give it a chance by
Following the nurse’s orders
Staying in bed resting and
Watching TV reading and
All those phone calls to
Friends and family as
You eat what you
Otherwise would
Not feed to pets
But for awhile
Must endure
Then one
Day you
Are a
Bit
Better
Then you
Are up and
Puttering around
Then one morning
You rise and feel well
Again with an appetite
Hope plans dreams
Ready to live again
Dangerous as
Always and
Looking for
Trouble.
