Used to the Martian sky as pink.
Texas is another country from
The America most of us are
Used to experiencing but
Texas charms over time
As we smile at the bit
Of past like walking
Through the set
Of a John
Wayne
Film
But with
Better food
From BBQ to
Salsa and chilli
Where folks will treat
You as family and accept
Your lesser qualities by
Defending you as a
Mess but our mess
So back off our
Friend we have
Adopted as
A Texan
