See
We see what
We want to see,
We hear what we
Want to hear despite
All evidence to the contrary.
Our perception is our rudder on
A sea of prejudice lit only by our
Limited perception of reality.
We are so limited in what
We can perceive around
Us that reality would so
Shock us we are safe
In our ignorance and
Yet second sight
Shines from a
Few and so
Many so
Called
Coincidence
Tip off the wary
That there is more
To life than cereal and
Blueberries, though
Some days this is
Enough to satisfy
An appetite too
Intense for my
Own good, so
We make a
Pair you
And I
As
You
Recognize
Yourself in this
Poor poem aware
You are not alone as
A blueberry floats in
The milk below your
Spoon as you do
In another way
In a sense we
Cannot
See.
