To Care

To care about
Another is to be
Considerate of
Their feelings,
To care is to be
Unwavering in
Supporting them,
To care is to be
Committed to
The relationship
And at their side.
To be none of these
Toward the one
With whom we live
Is not caring about
Them but only
For oneself
Which is
Not a
Slight easily
Forgotten,
Painful
To endure,
Hurtful and
Selfish.
Am I a fool
To persevere,
Or, is she
Even aware.
Being a pet
Dog is not
For the faint
Of heart.
