Sleep
Sleep eludes me,
Cabin fever plus
The solitude keeps
Me awake and
Restless.
The nights are
Cold but I
Am warm under
A blanket of
Dark green plaid.
I listen to the
Occasional car
Or whine of highway
Truck drive by,
Around 3 pm there
Is sometimes
A train whistle.
I read until
Too tired to
Continue, then
Say prayers and
Close my eyes.
An hour later
I am reading.
I wonder who
Else is up
And what
Worries them,
I check FB
And look
To see a
Friend.
I am
Learning
Solitude
And
Patience,
healing
And hoping
To save
My foot.
