Kindness

She extends to me
The kindness I
Have so missed,
A thoughtful
Invitation to lunch
At her house and
See her place.
She knows what
Is about to happen
To me in surgery
In a few days,
When I lose part
Of my right foot,
And her heart is
Tender,
She is a friend
In need and
Friend in deed.
I owe her my
Gratitude
For her
COMpassion,
And I wonder if
I can borrow those
First three letters
To COMpose,
And have a
Remainder of
Passion.
