What need have we
For a partner?
Seems rather a bother
For the unique
Individual we are.
And yet,
Common sense tweaks
Our elbow and reminds
Us of our frailty,
We are only a fall,
An accident,
A loss away from
Needing someone.
A partner we trust
And can rely on
To put us first as
We do them.
A partner to
Watch over us.
Not for just
A night (lovers),
Not for just
A day (friends),
Not for just
A week or
Month (employees),
But always a
Partner.
